Broadstairs are on their way back to Lord's after a convincing 72-run win over Essex side Hadleigh & Thundersley in the South East indoor cricket finals at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence.
Put into bat Broadstairs started cautiously scoring at 7 an over but with Elliot Fox taking most of the strike he soon reached 25, at halfway the score was 49, Marshall was next to reach 25 with Isaac Dilkes following soon after Matt Frewin and Jack Wheeler kept up the tempo before the latter was first wicket to fall with the score on 102 in the 10th over, followed soon after by Chris Kidd 6.
Frewin and the returning Fox 36 added a brisk 19 before the latter was run out for 23.
By the end of the innings Broadstairs had reached 137 adding 60 in the last 4 overs where apart from the wickets every ball was scored off, Adam Dobson with 1-25 was pick of the H&T bowlers.
In reply H& T were soon on the back foot with only three scored from the first over and Paul Tibbenham run out (by Fox) for just one in the second.
Oliver Smith and Jack Wagstaff were scoring more positively in the next two overs before Smith was well caught by Fox of Frewin for 11 in the fourth over, two overs later Frewin clean bowled the dangerous Wagstaff for 20.
The game was pretty much over, the last two batsmen only managed 4 between them before both of them fell to Dilkes, and in the 11th over Dobson who had made 20 was run out and his team were all out for 65. Dilkes finished with 2-4 while Frewin returned 2-15.

Fox bowled the next over which saw Elahis (11) stumps shattered, Lotia and Vasi Sheikh steadied the ship for a few overs before the former was run out in the 9th over by Dilkes, Sheikh carried his bat for the remaining overs scoring 34 and seeing his team reach 77 as Broadstairs bowling became a little erratic conceding 17 wides.
Kidd's final figures were 2-9 while Frewin picked up 2-14. Broadstairs made light work of the run chase with Marshall 27* and Fox 25* scoring freely before they both retired leaving Dilkes to knock of the winning runs in the 8th over.
