After shining in the Kent League with Blackheath, Ivan, a tall pace bowler, was invited to join the Kent Academy for the 2011 programme. After impressing in the nets, the towering quick was awarded with his first professional contract for the 2012 season.
A former pupil at the John Roan School in Blackheath, Ivan has all the attributes to become a quality fast bowler and showed promising signs last season with a string of accomplished displays for the Kent second XI. With the county thriving on giving youth a chance, the man likened to England’s Chris Tremlett will be looking to press his first-team claims in 2012.
